Brian and Jerrod took to the field on this calm cool February morning in hopes of the team's third video of the weekend. It is the peak of mating season and the coyotes have proved to be very responsive to vocalizations recently during night and prime-time hours. Hoping to catch it on video, the two began the day at the very first bit of filming light with a pair of interrogation howls. Interrogation, not "invitation" howls. Name it what you please, but call it with a loud and long "siren-like" howl to greet the other coyotes in the area. That's all it would take this time for DWO to be putting their sights on a pair of coyotes running in from over a quarter mile away in Upstate New York. With an arsenal of sounds to close the distance, the team went with an old reliable- the cottontail distress of the DWO Signature series squealer made by Crack Predator Calls, to lure the larger of the pair within 100 yards.
