Eastern Coyote Hunting: Deleted (DownWind Outdoors
Oct 25th 2012, 20:01, by DownWindOutdoors

For more information on the calls used in this video, please visit us at http://www.downwindoutdoors.com. "How long should you stay on a stand?" This age-old question in the sport of predator hunting, that really does not have an answer. Jerrod and Eric setup on this calm, cold morning in October, calling intermittently for 45 minutes into the morning light. Some deer came charging to the call, some turkeys pitched down into the field, but no predators were to be seen. As they packed up their gear and erased the (typically unusable) uneventful footage, this crew from DownWind Outdoors thought their hunt was over, but really it had just begun! A flash of movement caught their eye as they stood up to leave. Whether it was a coyote, something else, or nothing at all was yet to be determined. A couple screams from the DWO Signature Series rabbit squealer would bring out three beautiful coyotes. Apparently, 45 minutes was not long enough on this morning! But where were these coyotes all morning? Out of ear-shot of the call? Uninterested at first, but curiosity got the best of them? Slowly and surely circling their way downwind? Comment below, we'd be interested to know what you think! In the end, they were in front of the camera and a crosshair and that's all that matters.
