For the first, we get all old-fashioned for the second week running as we see how a man with a century-old muzzleloader fares on geese. Then on day two we do things the orthodox way with breech-loaders, and take the chance to experiment with several kinds of decoy. It's fast-flying, goose shooting success experienced in a number of ways. Down south, Paul Childerley has a stalking guest with distinction: NGO vice-chairman Geoff Garrod. It's two gamekeepers out on a foot-stalk, with a Chinese water deer buck the intended quarry. Geoff has previously stuck to the high seats and has never before been on a guided stalk, so we're eager to see how the shooting supremo gets on on foot.
